Licensing Question and Answers
Students, registrants, and supervisors often have questions relating to the licensing process. The Board produced two videos (broken up into multiple clips) to answer some of the common questions relating to the LCSW and MFT licensing process.
Each video also has an accompanying detailed handout. The Board recommends printing out the handout to supplement the information provided in each video.

Navigating the MFT Licensing Process: Answers to Common Questions
NOTE: Senate Bill 33, recently signed by Governor Schwarzenegger, makes a number of changes to MFT supervised experience requirements for hours earned on or after January 1, 2010. Staff will be modifying the licensing videos and presentation handout to incorporate those changes. In the meantime, information related to the changes is provided on the MFT License Requrements Information page.
