Existing BBS regulations are amended to incorporate the LPPC requirements with those of existing BBS licensees, such as marriage and family therapists and licensed educational psychologists (LEPs), and to make other clarifying and technical revisions. This action also sets forth continuing education requirements for LEPs and establishes a procedure for the board to grant exceptions to those requirements. Additionally, this action changes the continuing education exception process for all licensees in order to bring regulations and the Board's forms into compliance with both the Americans with Disabilities Act and the California Fair Employment and Housing Act.
