Additional Coursework Requirements for LPCC Applicants with Out-of-State Education

For Applications Postmarked on or After January 1, 2016

The following courses may be taken from a regionally accredited school, a school approved by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE), or an approved continuing education (CE) provider:

1. Human Sexuality 10 hours
2. Spousal/Partner Abuse Assessment, Detection and Intervention 15 hours
3. Child Abuse Assessment and Reporting 7 hours
4. Aging and Elder/Dependent Adult Abuse Assessment and Reporting 10 hours
5. Mental Health Recovery Oriented Care and Methods of Service Delivery 45 hours = 3 semester units, or 4.5 quarter units
6. California Cultures, and the Social and Psychological Implications of Socioeconomic Status 15 hours
